YOUTH VOICE PODCAST: 2010 Election First-time Voter’s Roundtable Discussion

Posted on August 13, 2010 by

With all eyes fixed squarely on election day, YOUTH VOICE features a roundtable discussion with three young people from the border region who  will be voting for the first time at the 2010 Federal Election.

Our Voice: Politics Albury-Wodonga host Ben Habib is joined by first-time voters Lisa Tuck, Sophie Buckle and Jessica Love, who share their thoughts on how they became interested in politics, on voting for the first time, the issues they see as important, and the election campaign to date.

The voice of youth is often marginalised in political debate and especially at election time, the interests of older, aspirational middle class voters tend to predominate.

Please join us in this thoughtful exploration of the motivations of the young voter.
