EVENT NOTICEBOARD: NSW Election – Seat of Albury Candidates Forum

Posted on March 14, 2011 by

With the New South Wales state election looming on Saturday March 26th, the Border Mail and ABC Goulburn Murray are hosting a public forum giving members of the public an opportunity to ask questions of candidates for the seat of Albury.

Date: Wednesday March 23rd.

Time: 7:00 PM

Venue: CD Blake Building, Charles Sturt University Thurgoona campus.

According to the Border Mail, confirmed panelists include the member for Albury, Greg Aplin, Labor Party representative Darren Cameron, independent candidate Paul Wareham and Greens nominee Colin Hesse.

Although the result of the NSW election appears to be a foregone conclusion, the candidates forum provides a forum for keeping the political process accountable and is unique opportunity for the public to present their concerns to all of the parties at the same time.

It would be especially exiting to see more young people attend this event.  Show them you’re politically engaged and make your voice heard!
